wiak has many interests including cycling, hill-walking, kayaking, penny-whistle and rubbish guitar playing, karate, yoga, and still, albeit very rarely now, plays a bit chess. He keeps meaning to retire, from all forms of technical computing work at least, in order to find more time to read and absorb himself into the escape provided by some well-written and interesting novels. Unfortunately, ongoing curiousity, stubborn temptation, and some new idea or two, continue to successfully get the better of him.
